This is a moderate and the most recommended tour to experience authentic nomadic life while staying at their extra ger and explore some exciting attractions, scenic places, cultural and historical remnants of central Mongolia in a short period. The tour will be guided by English speaking guide or your preferred language speaking guides entirely. There will be no much driving except for the first day. Exploring cultural items and experiencing real nomad life is the sole purpose of the tour. You may hear the nomadic life is a harsh life of day to day survival and existence. Therefore, there is even no little thought for the nomads about comfort. Everything will be completely local, and we recommend the tour for passionate cultural travelers. During the nomad family stay, you will not have any access to modern WC, bathroom, standard table, chairs and electricity, but some source of light with the help of solar panel or car aqua. The meals will be local and simple. The tour has not included any demanding physical activities, but some horse and camel riding with a support of your guide and local guides. We suggest you bring or prepare your personal usage such as snacks, drinks (we will provide bottled water), sanitary and medical item, etc. before leaving for the countryside.
The most suitable time to take the tour is between 15 May and 20 September. During this period, the weather will be warm and enjoyable. However, you should not expect warm weather during the trip either you travel in summer or certain times as vast Mongolian territory differentiates in altitude and earth surface. Overall, Mongolia is elevated at least 700 m high above surrounding Siberian plateau and Chinese territory. Therefore, the weather is extreme and fluctuates a lot hourly, daytime and at night. Receiving snow falls is common in May and September. Average monthly temperatures are +22°C, highest 29°C daytime in May, first half of June, last half of August and in September and +26°C, highest +35 to +38°C daytime in June, July and August. The temperature drops 10-20°C in the evening and at nights. The temperature drops dramatically if it rains. The tour is available either in offseason and winter. For your pre-departure preparation and an idea to prepare this inflexible weather condition and unique experience, you may check our packing list recommendation.
We will stay a night in a ger camp where you can have access to a shower, bathroom, and a local restaurant. About the Nomad’s Hospitality Tour, we will stay with a nomad family rather than ger camps and the tour is available either in off seasons. For more information about the accommodation, please visit Mongolia ger camps and Mongolia nomad family.
The majority of our guides are English speaking. We also have some guides who speak German, French, Spanish and Japanese. They are all professionally trained, friendly, helpful, and most of them were born and grown in the countryside. Therefore, they have good knowledge about their motherland’s culture, tradition, history, and geography. Our guides have minimum three years and more years of guiding experience. During the horse and camel riding, local guides will follow you.
You can have a choice of vehicles. The tour is available either with a sedan car (have three passengers seats) or four-wheel driving Japanese vehicle (have five passenger seats except for a driver) driven by experienced, friendly and good mechanic-drivers. Different car types are available upon request, and you may check the tour vehicles at Mongolia transportation.. The tour price varies according to your preferred vehicle type.

Most people picture the Mongolian Gobi as a sandy flat area, sand dunes, infertile dried mud soil or… ,but after they traveled Mongolia, they completely deny it and define Mongolian Gobi it supports life and is an amazingly surprising area, every day. Some parts of the Mongolian Gobi are daunting rocky mountains covered with plants. The mountainous areas have plenty of streams, springs and wild animals while other parts have views of marvelous blue mountains
