Moron, also called "Murun" is the central town of Khovsgul province in northern Mongolia. Moron town is located on the bank of the Delger Moron River. In the Mongolian language, big rivers fed by many tributaries is called Moron.

900 km paved roads connect Moron town to the capital city Ulaanbaatar. Although, there are several scenic driving travel routes to Moron. Grand Tour Mongolia Trails, Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan - Moron town road, and Amarbayasgalant Monastery - Moron town road, to name but a few famous ones.
