Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to a hotel and city tour
Your guide and driver meet you at the airport and transfer to the Shangri-La Hotel/Kempinski Hotel. If the time permits, you will have a city sightseeing tour. First, you’ll visit Gandantegchilen Monastery, a monastery favored by locals as well as foreigners due to its interesting religious artifacts, and tranquility. A 26m gilded statue of a Buddha (in Megjid Janrasag sum) is another feature of interest. Next, you visit the National Museum of Mongolia followed by a visit to Sukhbaatar Square. In the evening, attend a traditional cultural performance which is one of the most interesting things in Ulaanbaatar with its play of the horse-headed fiddle, throat singing, contortion, and colorful dance.

Day 2: Giant statue of Genghis Khaan, rafting on the Tuul River and Jalman Meadow
Jalman meadow is a beautiful and wild area where you enjoy yourself in the wild, do adventures and activities in nature. On our way to Jalman Meadow, we will visit a giant statue complex of Genghis Khaan. Upon arrival, you will see the process of a small Ger (traditional dwelling) building. We will do an ox cart tour to an area where our rafting starts. Rafting on the Tuul River. Rest of the day, enjoy the nature of the surrounding areas.

Day 3: Horse riding, visit nomads and Gorkhi Terelj National Park
After breakfast, ride horses and visit a nomad family. Leave Jalman Meadow after lunch and drive to Gorkhi Terelj National Park. See legendary Turtle Rock and do soft hiking.

Day 4: See last survivals of the earth’s wild horses and HS Khan Resort
Today, we drive through Ulaanbaatar and arrive at HS Khan Resort. After lunch, drive to Hustai National Park where the last survivals of the earth’s truly wild horses are roaming free in the wild. Visit the national park information center and watch a short movie about the national park. Next, we will drive to the core zone of the national park to see the wild horses. Seeing the wild horses sometimes require some hiking over the hills. Arrive back HS Khan Resort and enjoy views of the steppes.

Activities and experiences packed central Mongolian luxury tour. Our dedicated staff will show you the best of central Mongolia not driving far from the capital city Ulaanbaatar. Except for the experiences, you will stay in a higher category authentic and unique traditional dwelling located among the outstanding scenery. The tour has not included any demanding physical activities. You will have 3-4 hours daily driving between the attractions. Rest of the day, you will have some light activities such as 1-3 hours soft hiking, an hour horse riding with a support of local equestrians, visit a nomad family, rafting on the Tuul River, see the best attractions and explore the surrounding areas.
Meals
Tour meals are included according to the itinerary. In the countryside, ger camps serve both European and Mongolian meals. Meat is the main ingredient for meals and is served for lunch and dinner along with vegetables, salads, and soups. There will be more meat in traditional Mongolian meals. A typical breakfast is tea or coffee, bread, jam, butter, eggs and sausage. There are some cookies, cheese, cereals, pancakes and more at some of the ger camps for breakfast. For lunch, meals include salads, Mongolian soups and a main course (pasta, rice, vegetables, beef/mutton/chicken/fish near lakes/rivers), and dessert and tea. Salads, a main course, a dessert, and tea will be served for dinner. With nomads, you will try authentic Mongolian meals. Different types of meals offered simultaneously are not customary in Mongolian tradition. If you are a vegetarian or have other dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance, and we will make arrangements accordingly. We will supply two 0.5L bottles of water a day. You can choose to stay at the Kempinski Hotel (European Luxury) or Shangri-La Hotel (Asian Luxury) in Ulaanbaatar. The other 3 days' accommodations are different at 3 different locations; Jalman Meadow Eco Lodge offers wild and authentic experiences combining with traditional. The Terelj Hotel in Gorkhi Terelj National Park is one of the high category domestic hotels. The view from HS Khan Resort is over the vast steppes and is one of the few luxury traditional accommodations in Mongolia.
Guides
The majority of our company's guides are English speaking. We also have guides who speak German, French, Spanish and Japanese. They are all friendly, helpful and most of them were born and raised in the Mongolian countryside. Therefore, they have good knowledge about every aspect of Mongolia and have at least three years or more years of guiding experience. During the camel riding, a local guide will support you.

When is the best time to take Central Mongolian Luxury Travel?
The most suitable time to travel along this itinerary is between 20 May and 15 September. During this period, the weather will be warm and enjoyable. Overall, Mongolia is elevated at least 700 m high above the surrounding Siberian plateau and Chinese territory. Therefore, the weather is extreme and fluctuates a lot-hourly, daytime and at night. Receiving snowfalls is common in May, the end of August and in September. Rain falls turn into snowfalls in high elevated areas either in the summer months of June, July, and August. Average monthly temperatures are +20°C, highest 28°C daytime in May, in the first half of June, last half of August and in September. On average, +25°C, highest +30 to +35°C daytime in June, July, and the first half of August. The temperature drops 10-20°C in the evening and at night.
