Search a Pearl Hidden in the Wild Horse Riding 11 days

The pearl we will search for is Khagiin Khar, a glacial lake in the depths of Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. The lake lies at 1817 m above sea level, surrounded by coniferous forests. The reflection of the surrounding coniferous tree-covered mountains in the lake water makes the lake more beautiful. As the lake is only accessible by foot, horse, or helicopter, the way to the lake and its surrounding remained pristine. Therefore, the lake is called “Secret beauty.” Its inaccessibility allows wild animals such as red deer, elk, roebuck, musk deer, brown bear, wolf, lynx, and wolverine have left peacefully in the wild without the danger of people. While riding the strong Mongolian horse on this tour, you will be completely departed from urbanization and will be captured by untouched nature. You won't see people for most of the days of the trip except for your tour team members. You may see some wild animals, but they are extremely shy. During the tour, you will travel without a support vehicle but with some luggage horses.

However, Khan Khentii Mountains accept snow earlier in autumn, and the winter snow remains until the end of June in some areas. Due to altitudes of the areas, it snows on some summer days. The highest altitude of our route is Havirga Mountain Pass elevated 2200 m above sea level. The average altitude is 1500 to 1850 m above sea level. "My friend and I started planning our trip to Mongolia last year and right from the first email enquiry Boggie was prompt with her replies. Boggie was able to work with us to plan a trip to suit our time frame, flights and activities that we wanted to do. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We combined two tours - 'Explore Mongolia Private Tour extended with Yak Cart Supported Trekking' - 21 days. By including two domestic flights we were able to cover a lot of the country. Boggie organised sightseeing tours in Ulaanbaatar and a tour to see the wild horses in Hustai National Park. We flew to the Gobi where we were met by our guide Sony and driver Denzka. We spent two weeks with Sony and Denzka and they were fantastic. Most of the roads were 4 wheel drive tracks so it was important to have a confident and capable driver. Sony's English was excellent and we felt well supported at all times throughout the tour.
